In the production of sparkling wine (also called frizzante) the finished base wine is used carbonated (approx. 5 bar) added when filling the bottle. Davro the base wine is sweetened a little to create a more harmonious taste, as otherwise the carbonic acid would make the taste too bitter. Sweetening is also common in the production of champagne and sparkling wine (dosage), but here the carbonic acid is created through a second fermentation in the bottle.

What do you drink Frizzante for?

Naturally a Frizzante is very suitable as an aperitif, but don't be afraid to offer it as a meal accompaniment. The carbon dioxide ensures a more pleasant mouthfeel, especially with very fatty dishes.
