Drinking wine can be so beautiful. It is even more beautiful to make it. It's process of human and nature. Nature gives our grapes the breeding ground, the weather determines the vegetation and the topography has an influence on the wine style. But only the human factor, through craftsmanship and deliberate action, manages to produce authentic wines that are pure drinking pleasure without stumbling over unnecessary corners and edges.

VOLCANIC HILLSIDES, EXPRESSIVE WINES

The winegrowing region Vulkanland Steiermark is characterised by many small wine islands, with distinctive vineyards growing on the slopes of extinct volcanoes, which impart a truly unique and uncommon character to the landscape. 1,671 hectares of vineyards are cultivated in the region, concentrated around around Tieschen, Klöch, St. Anna am Aigen and Straden. Typical grape varieties are Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay (Morillon), Muscat and of course the highly aromatic Traminer.
