If you were to describe wine with music, this would be Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Here fruit, finesse and drinking pleasure set the tone. Our Aunkönig is a Cuveé made from Sämling 88 and Müller-Thurgau from our best locations. It shines with a play of aromas of elderflower, peach and apricot, a pleasant palate and a balanced interplay of sugar and acid.

Information about the grape varieties
Both the Scheurebe and the Müller-Thurgau are new varieties of the 20th century. The Müller-Thurgau was bred by the Swiss botanist Hermann Müller from the canton of Thurgau. The variety was considered to be the most successful new breed of the 20th century. Because the variety was precocious and significantly lower in acid than the grape varieties common up to now, if you consider that the temperatures were much lower back then. Today, the Mülller-Thurgau is often found in young wines such as the "Styrian Junker" in Styria.
Food recommendation:
Excellent as an aperitif or with cold starters, also ideal with spicy Asian dishes and savory poultry dishes (e.g. chicken paprika).
